Stenciled Concrete Pool Decks

Stencils also provide pattern options and are a great alternative to stamping concrete. Stenciling uses paper stencils to outline brick or stone patterns into fresh concrete. The look of bricks “mortared” together can be achieved by masking off the concrete surface and coloring the fields. Upon removal of the stencil, realistic-looking “grout or mortar” joints are left in the slab.

Stenciling provides an economical way to achieve the look of other materials at a fraction of the cost. Plus, concrete offers the durability to withstand the elements unlike many of the materials it mimics. Use stencils to create the look of bricks, stone, slate, or even tile.
